Mike Strantz created something truly special here when he carved this layout through the North Carolina sandhills in 1999. The course showcases Strantz's signature dramatic flair with massive waste bunkers, bold elevation changes, and greens that look like they were sculpted by an artist rather than a bulldozer. His eye for visual intimidation is on full display. You'll find yourself standing on tees wondering how you're supposed to handle the seemingly impossible angles and cavernous sand hazards that define each hole. What sets this track apart from other Sandhills courses is Strantz's willingness to push boundaries that more conservative architects wouldn't dare cross. The routing takes full advantage of the rolling terrain, creating memorable holes that stick with you long after the round.
